At Quirk and Wheeler Orthodontics, we are excited to welcome you and your family to our office. We love to get to know our patients on a personal level to determine their needs. Meet Doctor Quirk

Dr. Quirk was born in Anchorage, Alaska; however, her family moved to Cookeville when she was young. Dr. Quirk has called Cookeville home ever since! After graduating from Upperman High school, Dr. Quirk attended Sewanee: The University of the South. While in college, on a mission trip to Haiti, Dr. Quirk fell in love with dentistry. She graduated from Sewanee with a degree in Biochemistry. She was then accepted at the University of Louisville School (UofL) of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree. After that she continued her education and speciality training in Orthodontics at UofL, receiving her Master of Science in Dentistry (MS) and Certification in Orthodontics.

Dr. Quirk loves puzzles. She often has one in progress at her home. Orthodontics allows her to combine her passion for science and love of puzzles in a practical career. Dr. Quirk has roots that run deep in the medical community of the Upper Cumberland. Her grandmother was the first female physician at Cookeville Regional Hospital. Her grandfather and mother both owned and operated a family pharmacy in Sparta for several decades. This history inspired a dedication to serving the people of the Upper Cumberland. “This is the best place in the world to live and raise a family. I am so blessed to have grown up here and so glad be back to raise my family.”

Dr. Quirk and her husband, Ryan, met while at Sewanee. They love to hike and go camping. Their daughter, Quinlan Rose, was born in December of 2021. They also have one fur-baby, an Australian Shepherd, named Smoky.

Board Certification

Orthodontists can apply for board certification voluntarily. Being board-certified gives patients an added level of confidence that the doctor takes their job and commitment to orthodontics very seriously. To become board-certified, Dr. Quirk was thoroughly evaluated by a highly respected panel on her knowledge, skills, and experience.

Meet Doctor Wheeler

Dr. Wheeler has been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years. He loves every minute of it and enjoys coming to work every day. He believes in the saying, “if you love what you do, then you will never actually work a day of your life”. Dr. Wheeler treasures the lifetime relationships he has built with patients, families, and his team during his career.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, a little ping pong, reading, and traveling to see other parts of the world. He currently has one grandson and three granddaughters

Dr. Wheeler enjoys growing the practice with Dr. Quirk and helping their partnership flourish to provide the highest quality of orthodontics with the goal to transform patient’s lives and to have a positive impact on their future.

Meet the Team

Audrey, R.D.A.

We all call Miss Audrey “Momma Audrey” because there isn’t much she doesn’t do for our team and our patients. She has been with the practice since 1999. From receptionist to office administrator and everything in between, she has the knowledge and experience to make sure our patients are well taken care of.

Audrey is a native of Crossville and has been married for 30 years, with 2 children and 5 grandchildren. She loves to travel with her husband and see new places.

Tracy, R.D.A.

Tracy is one of the first smiling faces that you will see when you enter the Crossville office! Tracy loves getting to know our patient families and will make sure that you feel welcome at each visit. She enjoys watching our patients’ confidence transform over their time in treatment.

While Tracy is not originally from Crossville, she has called it home for many years. You can catch her in an early morning HITT or Barre class. Tracy is married with two wonderful children.

Bobbi Jo, R.D.A.

Being one of the treatment coordinators means Bobbi is one the first faces you will meet. She will walk you through what treatment looks like. Having been through both traditional braces and a revision in clear aligners, she has first-hand knowledge to help prepare you for your smile journey.

Bobbi is a native of Putnam County. You can find Bobbi strength training at the gym or coaching clients in nutrition. Bobbi and her husband love taking their 2 children on weekend getaway trips across Tennessee.

Belinda, R.D.A.

Belinda was born and raised in Crossville! She is one of the first smiling faces that you will see when you enter the Crossville office! On clinical days, she coordinates scheduling patients. However, her main focus is as our insurance guru! She dedicates her time to billing and processing insurance payments for our patients. She is constantly working hard to ensure our patients are getting their full orthodontic benefit. Belinda loves to spend time unwinding in her garden or with her family. Her first grandson was born last year and he is precious!

Anita, R.D.A.

Anita will always greet you with a warm smile and fun-loving personality! Anita was born and raised in Overton County and has a large family. It is very likely that you know her or know someone in her family! She is upbeat and strives to make sure our patients are happy with their orthodontic experience. She lives with her son and their dogs, Rico and Tess. She loves sports - GO VOLS - and being outdoors.

Hailey, R.D.A.

Hailey’s goofy and fun-loving personality will have you laughing during your whole visit. Her light-hearted nature is nothing compared to her Orthodontic skills. She has a true talent for orthodontics and provides our patients with the best clinical care. Hailey is a Baxter native and graduated from Upperman High School with Dr. Quirk. She loves traveling and spending time with her son, husband, and her dogs

Jessica, R.D.A.

Jessica has been an orthodontic Assistant since 2020 and has a huge passion for giving people the love and support they need. The passion she has for orthodontics drove her to finish her dental training while still in high school. She has a very bubbly and welcoming personality that will make you feel immediately comfortable with us. When she is not at work you can find her getting her nails done and spending time with her friends and family

Stephanie, R.D.A.

Stephanie’s warm, southern hospitality will welcome you into the office and she’ll guide you through the new patient process. Her passion is building relationships with our patient families. She has been an orthodontic assistant since 2014. Her compassion and care is evident in everything she does.

Stephanie is a native of Baxter and graduated from Upperman high school with Dr. Quirk! She is married to her high-school sweetheart, and they have three gorgeous children. She has seven fur-puppies and loves to go hiking. She is a member of Life Church and strives to be an example of Jesus’ love in all that she does.

Leimy, R.D.A.

Leimy is one of our bilingual assistants. She is one of our clinical assistants and has been with the practice since 2021 .Leimy is also our lab tech for the Cookeville office. She likes watching patients' smiles transform and making them feel confident about their smiles. When she is not at work, you can catch her getting her nails done, shopping, or at the gym. Most importantly she loves spending quality time with her friends and family.

Dana, R.D.A.

Dana is a gentle soul and will help you feel comfortable at every visit. Dana has been in the dental field for 22 years, but has spent the last 19 of them in orthodontics. Her knowledge and skills are truly exceptional. She is from the Oregon coast, but is learning how to be a true Southerner. Dana has 3 daughters that she couldn’t be more proud of, and grandbabies that are the light of her life.

Casey, R.D.A.

Casey is a very social and fun member of our team! She will absolutely connect with you and make you feel like family. She is a diligent worker who also holds one or two other jobs in the community. Casey is a native of Lebanon but has called Cookeville home since 2016. In Casey’s free time, she is part of a run club, where they travel all over the South to compete. Casey loves to travel! Casey and her husband, Seth, have been married since 2019.

Amy, R.D.A.

Amy Jo has been in Orthodontics for 12 years. She is very passionate in the work she does here and loves being able to help patients in the best way she can. She recently moved here in January 2023 from Clarksville, TN. She has 3 kids and 4 grandkids that she enjoys spending time with. In her free time she loves spending it with her friends and family. She also enjoys gardening and being outside.
